Farewell Luigi
I think the one legged keeper, must have been
An Italian striker, that, no-one has seen
He does bear, an uncanny likeness
From what we remember, of that striking mess
Mind you ,it can’t be, the keeper did score!
Luigi would still be shouting, god, my-a leg-a she-a sore
So a goal from our Luigi, I’m so very afraid not
A goalĀ from Luigi, we never ever, got
If we made the goals, as wide as the pitch
Luigi would miss, and, fall, and, land in the pitchside ditch
So, let us lay the legend, that is, Luigi the striker, from Italy
To rest, in these lines, not to mention again, so finally
Goodbye Luigi, stay at rest
Because, we all knew, you weren’t the best
