It’s a game of two halves, so the critics say
We could make it longer, if we get our way
If scores are equal, then, the next goal wins
We could even play it, with shirts versus skins
Let’s bring back the fun, we have in our game
Playing the games over, and, over again
Politics, have no place in our sport
Or the innumerable critics, filling out a report
If we bring back the game, the way it should be
Then, there would be no need, for a referee
We could play just for fun, with equal pay
Then finish each game, by the end of the day
See how simple, the game of football, can be
If it was left to be run, by, people like me
