A Fans Outlook

I’m back again the production line rolls on
Where do I get all this football stuff to write upon
Some of it memories but mostly a fertile imagination
Whilever that is there we will have fun iu the equasion
So lets hear it for the average team fan…atic
The songs they sing are alwys so neat and slick
You know the ones they’re at every game at the very front
And everybody else screaming sit down you stupid c—
We are five nil down and defence is the new attack
Picking the ball from the net again oh it is tough at the back
Oh no both keepers are hurt Luigi you’re the new keeper
The whole team as one prays for a return of the reaper
But typically for us he doesn’t show so Luigi alone it is
We fans are cheering when the ball leaves the box. The bizz
This is what football means to the true fan
You know, your typically hard working honest man

Back to the Seventies

What did the seventies mean football wise
Football fans prayers answered from the skies
The United days at last were finally over
Scouses could begin to follow their team in clover
A certain Forest conquered Europe with gaffer Clough
The man took unfashionable teams right out of the rough
His teams always played the way football should be played
Players with talent and flair but hardmen too if the ball got mislaid
Cloughies only mistake? was in paying a million for T. Francis
Nice player but a million someone wake me up with a kiss
It brought the onset of transfer fees not knowing were to stop
But the best teams would pay them just to stay at the top
Their is a lot more I could put down about that decade
But I wouldn’t know where to stop I’m afraid
So for now that will have to suffice
But a later edition if you are really nice…………

Managers Dying For Life

Is this football thing life or death or is it worse than that
Managers under so much stress living off the fat
Each trying to do their very best with the teams
They’ve got. But not good enough it seems
What with play offs and then relegation
The manager’s try some kind of delegation
Hopefully finding the right man for the job
But when they fail it just seems like a right smack in the gob
So here’s to managers one and all for ever always trying
Never being allowed to show the pressures by dying
