Another Bloody Match
It’s here again, another bloody saturday, another bloody match
Though the shadows are shortening, we soon wont catch
Another game ’til the onset of next season’cos’ we don’t
Yet play, summer matches, though if we had a vote we wont
Open the season to the warmer summer temperature
Which would pull the fans in of that I’m quite sure
But until a debate for summer games we get
The fans of football will still come way down the tiers, yet
Without the fan coming in off the street and paying
Then the highly paid footballers wouldn’t be playing
And we’d all be sat watching local sunday league games
We’d know the players and they’d know fans names
